Genuine happiness
This is what it feels like. And it’s even better knowing I creating it, like a little flower that I’ve nurtured and watched grow from the dirt. It’s not a flower that I’m counting on anyone else to water, or fertilize, or even pay attention to. It’s just mine, and I’ve realized that learning to grow my own flowers is an important part of getting older. Of dealing with situations. Sometimes flowers die, but that’s when you know it’s time to plant some more.
